Geoff Elrod

Geoff Elrod started coming to Lake City with his parents over 20 years ago. As a family they owned and operated a riverside resort where Geoff began his fly fishing career never knowing that this loved pass time would indeed become a career. Until spring of 2001 Geoff with wife Shelley and daughters Summer and Savannah lived in Texas where Geoff  operated his own tree trimming business.  Inspired by their love of the outdoors in general and Colorado in particular the family moved to Lake City where Geoff began guiding for Dan's Fly Shop. Geoff was greatly missed for a brief interlude during which he did some coastal guiding in Texas, but he has returned to take up his guiding in Lake City again much to the delight of his past clients. The family is settling in as full time residents. Geoff guides and teaches fly fishing with Dan's during the summer and in the winter may be found involved in construction in area projects.
