Jim Hendrix is an educator who recently retired from 35 years of teaching History and American Studies, 25 of which also saw him Head three College Prep Schools. In addition to his guiding, Jim also works as an educational consultant, and as a lecturer on Lewis and Clark. He is well acquainted with the Lake City area, having spent almost 30 summers in the area.
Jim has been flyfishing for over 45 years and has caught trout in sixteen states, in six different countries on four continents. He agrees with Lee Wulff that a trout is too valuable to be used only once and is, thus, a great advocate of "catch & release" fishing.

Jim often quotes John Muir, "Climb into the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine into trees."
